The latest most important event in my life has happened on March 30, 2003. It was the birth of our son Fabian Alexander.

Alina Jacqueline

The first most important event in my life - beside my marriage - has happened on December 12, 2000. It was the birth of our daughter Alina Jacqueline. This link provides some images taken so far.

Abitur 1982

1982 habe ich Abitur gemacht. 2007 steht demnach unser 25-jähriges Jubiläum an. Damit man dann was organisieren kann, sollten natürlich die aktuellen Anschriften vorliegen. Was liegt also näher, als das Internet dafür zu nutzen.
Des weiteren gibt es unter www.stayfriends.de eine Seite, mit der man ehemalige Schulfreunde finden kann. Dort haben wir inzwischen auch schon die ersten Fotos eingestellt.
Also, meldet Euch, wenn Ihr Interesse daran habt.

Health Level 7 (HL7)

One of my favorites is the contribution of information for the development of Health Level Seven (HL7 USA).

I am responsible for the development of the HL7 comprehensive database. The third version has been released last year. But the next version will come soon with a few more features.

Intelligent Text Processing

This section provides the contents of my diploma thesis: It deals with intelligent text processing using artificial intelligence techniques.

You can regard the widely introduced wizzards as a simplified version of my ideas: They try to arrange the formats (styles) specified for word processing.
In contrast to that approach the two expert systems I have developed - one for text formatting (layout) and one for typography - try to reformat any given (ASCII) text based on hints by the user according facilitating rules known by experts in that field.

Unfortunately, it is available in the German language only.

Genealogy

Another hobby is the genealogy of my family. One of my relatives - Georg Oehmichen - has created a genealogy of the family, which goes back to the fourtenth century. It captures the family names

I will try to provide a means for searching this archive, but this will last while. In the meantime, please feel free to , if you know someone with one of those names.

I also would like to highlight those members who had become famous for distinct reasons. Let me mention two examples:

Oehmichen's Marionette Theatre, also known as Augsburger Puppenkiste and
Etienne Oehmichen, who built the first flying helicopter. But that is left for future.
